More than 100 years of history and tradition since its establishment

Hiyoshi Kaisoten has been providing high quality services to satisfy our customers for more than 100 years. In order to pass on the technology we have cultivated over the years to the next 100 years, we are renovating the Kimitsu Warehouse Management Core System as the start of a company-wide DX project. We are also focusing on acquiring ISO 9001 certification and safety excellence enterprise certification, and on human resource development through qualification acquisition and external training.

Minami-kyushu Hososhima Office

The Minami-kyushu Hososhima Office, established in 1959 in Hososhima, Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, undertakes handling and customs clearance of import/export cargo to/from Hososhima Port in Hyuga City and neighboring ports. The office also sells flexible intermediate bulk containers and other logistics-related products.

Kimitsu Branch and Ferroalloy Warehouse, which opened in 1968 on the premises of Yawata Iron and Steel Company's Kimitsu Steel Works (now Kimitsu District, East Nippon Works, Nippon Steel Corporation), continues to serve as the Company's core branch for the warehousing and trucking business.

Hanroku Higuchi, father-in-law of Toichi Kagami, the Company's first president, was engaged in a wide range of businesses including railroads and transportation in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and established Hiyoshi Kaisoten in 1914 in Ota-machi, Yokohama because he foresaw that Japan, a small country with few natural resources, would undoubtedly become a trading nation, and decided that port-related businesses would be essential.
